Chinese Ambassador Bids Farewell to Vice President

Chinese Ambassador to the Maldives, Wang Lixin, paid a farewell visit to Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef at the President’s Office on Monday. The meeting marked the conclusion of her tenure in the Maldives.

During the meeting, Vice President Latheef praised Ambassador Wang for her unwavering dedication to enhancing the Maldives-China partnership. He acknowledged her significant contributions and expressed appreciation for the continued support provided by the Chinese government.

Ambassador Wang, in turn, thanked President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and his administration for their steadfast support during her tenure. She commended the government for its resilience and highlighted the notable progress achieved in various sectors over the past year.

Strengthening Bilateral Ties

Both parties reflected on the deepening ties between the two nations, emphasizing successful collaborations in key areas, including education, infrastructure development, agriculture, and tourism. These joint efforts have underscored the importance of the bilateral relationship and its impact on the Maldives’ development.
